Room makeover for my 12 year old

Mom's goal was no posters. I did not tell daughter that-I just guided her to do some framed art. (Of course growing up I had posters of Snoopy "Feeling Groovy", Elton John in his crazy costumes, Leif Garret, David Cassidy so I would not have said "no".)

Here was our starting point. One photo to help guide our color choices. The paint color is Benjamin Moore Electric Blue. You may remember, this is the exact blue that Carrie from Sex in the City used in her apartment.

Then sweet daughter put together these swatches  to see how she wanted to add color.

We went from vintage white furniture, white and sage green ticking wall paper and a white iron bed to this:

We are still in need of a cute black night stand that I am hoping will come via a yard sale or junk store and a new lamp with a white shade.  Daughter has really cute bedding but she wanted everything white for a little while longer.  Super mom painted the bed and assembled the Ikea dresser.

These are the pictures she has hanging over her bed.

Daughter is thrilled and said she is motivated to keep her room clean...what ever works!

Warehouse Sale

It's time for our yearly warehouse cleaning sale. We are struggling to find a weekend but will have a date very soon. Our warehouse is located in the Ravenna neighborhood of Seattle. Send us your email so that we can let you know.

There will be: chairs, art, tables, bedding sets, lamps, accessories, linens, pillows and much more. The deals are fabulous 'cause we don't want it back in our warehouse-that's the object, right?!

Stylish Campers

Just purchased a sweet canopy to sit next to our Airstream. This will be a super cute place to take cover. It's an easy to carry pop up canopy. (That part looks deceiving, I know).  The canopy below is the one I purchased.

I originally wanted this canopy but it was sold out by the time I went to order. I love that it has a fabric wall.

Another option...

Found them at Ace Canopy online. Will be trying out the new camping look middle of June so I will take photos.

Shopping without Sister Ex

Had a big job on Wednesday so I recruited my mother to help me with the shopping. Let me be clear, I am not the company shopper-I do not like that part of the job. But Sister Ex is out of town and the task has fallen to me so off I went...to Z Gallerie in Redmond Town Center.

How fun would this be to move your bed under a canopy for the summer? That would be the best "staycation" ever.
We don't have much yellow in our staging. I think this would be a great sunny start. Sister Ex bought the green vase below and it looks great in a job.

Off to complete our staging job today with all the new accessories. It is looking super cute. Photos to follow!

Staging the Highlands

We just love driving through the Highlands. Large estates, sweeping views, thick woody areas, pretty little chapel and names at the top of each driveway. It is swank indeed.

Sweet Danielle working her magic in the pool house. Can you imagine cocktails being served in the garden?

We only staged a couple of bedrooms to complete the already lovely home listed by Buz McKinley for Windermere Real Estate.

Sandpoint Condo Staging

Sister Ex and I freaked out when we saw this amazing fireplace. This is the jewel of the condo-very Kelly Wearstler. I am annoyed at myself for not getting a photo of it in the setting. The condo has nice spaces-it only needs some very simple cosmetic work to really launch it and take it to the next level.

We don't come across wet bars in a $200-$300K homes so it was a fun discovery behind the closet doors.  Again, it's dated but has fun potential. An easy project.

Loved the nook for the desk in the master. It has personality. I think the light fixture is actually pretty cool.

This hip condo is listed by Pamela Jensen for Windermere Real Estate.
