A New Home...

....for a couple of cute teenagers.
Thank you to a very special woman, Leslie, from Forgotten Felines, who matched us with 2 beautiful cats. We planned to get baby kittens but fell in love with the teens-I suppose my girls could better "relate" to them.
We have only had them since Sunday but they are settling in just fine. The girls wanted to sleep in the same bed and have the cats with them and it worked. Everyone woke up rested and happy. They slept the day away on a chair in my studio-always a favorite for any feline that spends time with us.
We are so thrilled!

I visit a blog called One Girl Trucking which is far from my world. There are entertaining and heart warming stories of her work days & nights hauling freight. Her truck Rosie is beautiful. I love reading her tales on the road, stories about her farm and seeing her photographs. A country girl with a taste for adventure. Once in awhile she will let you ride next to her via a video and it's trippy.
How thrilled I was that she listed our blog as one that she visits. Thank you so much....
Portland Shopping
/
We are longing to go back to Portland for another load from our favorite haunts. Note to self: bring larger vehicle. Our car was stuffed with furniture and items from: Home Goods, Z Gallerie, West Elm, & Fabric Depot.
We are going back for these bistro tables from West Elm.
Table Setting
/
A last minute scramble to put together a simple Valentine dinner for four. I wasn't feeling well but new I had to rally and find some way to make this day different from the rest. For my husband I made a card that listed many of the things I love about him. (I can make a list better than I can create a poem.) The girls got a simple gift and the table setting I think is more for me.
Slighty annoyed that husband broke the best plate of this collection while serving dinner. ugh... It's my luncheon china by Villeroy and Boch called Design 1900 (now discontinued). I can tell I wasn't feeling well cause I missed several details in the setting that I am certain Mother and Sister Extraordinaire would notice.

The Kittens
/
Just want our little Elle-belle to know that we are taking very good care of her babies and that they are happy.
Had to put a towel on their favorite chair at Auntie E's house. We are not telling Uncle Andrew that the cats are allowed to climb on anything and everything because they stole our hearts.
Loving a moment in the sun on top of my desk in the studio.
Another day snuggled together. So sweet...but I know they cannot wait to get back to loving you and your pesky brothers.
Hip Containers
/
At the Seattle Design Center we ran into a new vendor. Can't find their info online... They can create a planted container and rent it, decorate your home for an event or for the holidays and sell these ever-so-hip containers.
