Bad MLS Photos....

(I am not going to do these entries very often. They are too visually painful.)

One of our favorite things is the interior of homes. Good or Bad... Here is a photo of a home for sale. The agent must have been highlighting the duo use of the kitchen. "No need to walk outside to dry your clothes-this kitchen doubles as your back yard clothes line"

I find the chain link fence a bit distracting.

The agent must have had zero budget for a professional photographer or wanted us to "experience" what the room looks like after several bottles of wine...

Wild Goose Visit

Welcome to Wild Goose Design. While on a road trip to check out wineries in the Tricities, Kamie and I visited this cute shop that caught our eye. Located in an unassuming vintage mall in Richland Washington this place was so worth a stop. The owner Bonnie Greiner is a top notch artist. She designs jewelry, light fixtures, tables, furniture and more. Her husband Glenn is a craftsman like no other. The cases and pieces he created were outstanding. I want so badly to meet Bonnie- perhaps some of her creative juju will rub off on me.

Bonnie built this chandelier of twigs. It sells for only $550.00. This would be amazing in my dining room.

The canvas in the back is Bonnie's creation! Around $1200.00.

Kamie and I fell in love with the busts that she and her husband made.  You can see her sense of humor,  beauty, and brilliant eye coming through her creations.

Hi!

Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
 are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting--
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things

Bookwalter Winery-TriCities

Just got back from a sunshine filled road trip to the Tricities. Stopped at Bookwalter Winery for some wine tasting and jazz music.

My talented friend Kamie came along for support and laughter. We purchased a fab bottle of Foreshadow Merlot. Absolutely loved the bottle, the packaging, the hip label, the food offerings, the music and being away from home ever-so-briefly. It was beautiful and warm for early evening February. Crazy to think we were sitting outside in February.

Wishing I could afford her art...

Anne Packard titled: Dories in Mist

Titled: The tip of Cape Cod

Titled: Blue Evening

You will find this fabulous art by Anne Packard at Packard Gallery.

Blue Evening is the very one I want. It's so quiet and dreamy. Everything my life is not.

At what point do we splurge on art? Do people save for it? Cut out other extravagances? How does it work? I did notice that Diane Sawyer purchased a piece...
